3rd annual Gala

We are so excited to be hosting our 3rd annual Red Carpet Gala. Our event takes place on Saturday April 18th 2026 at The Androy downtown Hibbing. Our Red Carpet Gala theme will bring a night of elegance and class while raising funds for our very important mission – see more information below.

515pm – doors open for Red Carpet photo op, silent auction, mingling, cash bar.

At Light After Loss Mn, our mission is to provide support, comfort, and community after a pregnancy/infant loss. Our nonprofit donates care packages to area clinics/hospitals to be given out at the appointment that loss occurs. Our care package consists of a memorial candle to light in comfort and honor of their loss. Our OB comfort care packages to donate to the labor and delivery unit designed for mamas who experience full term loss/stillbirth. Care package contents vary but can include cozy slipper socks, our candle, a weighted heart, 30 minute massage gift card from Balance Massage & Esthetics, Haigh’s Honey Farm lotion, Rays of Hope book, and a cozy throw blanket. Healing emotionally and physically after loss is extremely difficult and we hope our nonprofit brings comfort and support. We also host support groups and community events to provide ongoing support to parents of loss anywhere within their healing journey.
We have incredibly exciting news kicking off 2026! The City of Hibbing has graciously worked alongside us to find a Hibbing location for our Memorial Garden community project. This community project is in partnership & collaboration with the local Bereaved Mother’s Group. We have begun the designing and planning stages of our memorial garden. Our memorial garden vision includes fundraising for the Angel of Hope statue, memorial wall, paths, benches, and additional greenery & flowers. The goal of the community Memorial Garden is to provide a family centered place for healing, remembrance for pregnancy, infant, and child loss, as well as making memories. ****ALL FUNDRAISING EFFORTS FROM OUR 2025 GALA WILL GO TOWARDS Hope Remembrance Park****** This project aligns with our mission statement of providing support, comfort, and community after a pregnancy/infant loss. We are also taking donations specifically for care packages at the event this year.
Music and DJ entertainment provided. Our Founder Nina with Sunshine Soul Lifestyle by Nina Brooke will also be there to take photos with our formal backdrop. Photos will be available for download as a thank you!
If you prefer you can get on the guest list with cash/check from any board member – Nina Pleshe, Stephany Vesel, Tina Holm, and Kristina Koski. Guest list pass can also be purchased through our Event/community outreach committee members – Mary Sterle, Cassie Maki.
